The Canadian Forces Parachute Team, the SkyHawks, performed some colourful jumps at the annual Canadian Sunset Ceremonies at the Canadian Police College on June 28, 2012 in Ottawa, Canada.
It seemed like a calm night, but apparently the wind played tricks on the parachute team's landings.
Of course i was in the exact wrong place to witness the chaos of this landing. The flag ended up draping over some of the crowd behind the canopy. See next frame.
Happy to say that nobody was seriously injured, and despite the lack of sun (hid behind the clouds all evening), the sihlouettes came out nicely on the clearish sky. Glad I could stay until the end this year.
The show runs until the 30th of June, so if you are in the Ottawa area, check it out! The parachute team concludes their performances on Friday though. Cheers.
